Micki
completed a large portion of her professional training with SCYFC. She
initially came to the agency as a pre-doctoral psychology intern. She
completed her doctorate in counseling psychology at the University of
Missouri at Kansas City in August, 2003. She went on to complete
her year of postdoctoral training with SCYFC and has had the honor of
staying on as a staff member. She received her license in psychology
in the State of Texas in 2005. Most recently, Micki has taken on
more responsibilities with our American Psychological Association accredited
pre-doctoral training program. In this role, she works closely with
Dr. Judy Swint on coordinating multiple aspects of the internship, practicum,
and postdoctoral training programs. Believing that professional
development is a lifelong process, Micki truly enjoys her contact with
students and training whether it is in the capacity of participating in
didactic presentations or consulting on individual cases. She values
collaborative learning and has an appreciation for students as they assist
in keep the training fresh and relevant. In addition to her work
with training, Micki continues with her clinical responsibilities in the
office. Her interests include exploring the impact of poverty on
mental health needs of children, adolescents and families. Although
she works with a wide variety of ages, she is particularly drawn to working
with adolescents. Her goals for the immediate future include increasing
and refining her Spanish speaking skills and becoming more involved in
state and regional professional associations.

Michelle Billings Kinder, M.Ed.

Michelle is a therapist on the Family Therapy Team.
She has been on staff since 1999. She specializes in working with children
ages 0-12 and their families. This work often focuses on parenting, divorce,
grief, depression, school adjustments and issues related to abuse. She
grew up in Guatemala and is bilingual and bicultural. This allows her
to provide services in English and Spanish. She also enjoys doing group
work with children and adults and she has developed a family strengthening
program called Fortaleza En La Familia (Strong Families).

Delane Kinney, PhD

In 2005, Delane was named associate executive director of Salesmanship
Club Youth and Family Centers to help develop, integrate and manage all
mental health services and training programs. Previously, in her role
as director of psychological services, Delane headed up SCYFC's clinical
staff and oversaw the agency’s family therapy and professional training
programs. Delane received her doctorate in counseling psychology in 1978
from University of North Texas. She is a past president of both the Dallas
Psychological Association and the Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Network.
With her associates Rudy Buckman and Ann Reese, she co-authored “Narrative
Therapies” in Theoretical Perspectives in Direct Social Work
Practice.

Yolanda G. Kraynick, PhD

Yolanda is a bilingual therapist on the Family Therapy team with extensive
experience working with the Latino and African American populations. She
worked in the Parkland Health and Hospital System for 11 years, focusing
on outpatient mental health, health psychology and crisis intervention.
She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from UT Southwestern
Medical School in 1998 and has taught Cultural Diversity and Psychology
at both the undergraduate (UT Dallas) and graduate (UTSW) levels. After
working briefly as a researcher, Yolanda decided client time was much
more fun. She continues to do health psychology work in the community
and tries to keep up with her book club. Her current work interests include
the impact of culture on identity development and coping strategies, supervising
students, conducting psychological testing, and working with families
and adolescents.

Traci Lee, PhD

Traci is currently the Coordinator of The
Reunion Institute and also serves as a marriage and family therapist
at SCYFC. Traci received her undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Sciences
from UT Southwestern Medical Center in 1995. She graduated from the University
of San Francisco with her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology
1997 and trained at the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto until 1998.
She earned her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Ohio
State University where she worked as both a research and teaching assistant.
Before joining the RI, Traci was a visiting professor at the University
of Connecticut in Storrs and Wheelock College in Boston, MA. She continues
to be an adjunct faculty at Wheelock College and teaches internationally
through the Center for International Education, Leadership, and Innovation.
Her current interests are transitions across the family life cycle, program
evaluation and needs assessment, parent education training, marriage preparation,
and family dynamics and processes.

Fred Lines, M.S.

A clinical member of the outpatient family therapy staff, Fred works
with clients bringing both curiosity and a warm sense of humor to all
of his sessions. Fred previously worked as a therapeutic counselor and
senior counselor for Salesmanship Club Youth Camp for over 13 years before
joining the family therapy team at SCYFC. Fred received a masters in counseling
from Texas A&M Commerce. He worked with Terrell Independent School
District providing individual and family counseling for two years, and
worked as a child abuse investigator for TDHRS for three years. Fred’s
particular interests are in working with blended families, marriages,
terminal illness and emotionally challenged adolescents and teens. In
addition to his work with clients, Fred participates in training and supervision
of new therapists, conducts parenting education using the Love and Logic
curriculum and is certified to teach Savannah Family Institute's "Parenting
with Love and Limits."

Tameka S. Miller, PhD

A Houston native who loves traveling,
arts and crafts, and genealogy research, Tameka is a graduate of the University
of Houston Counseling Psychology program. Now that she has finished
a year of internship at SCYFC, she is working toward licensure as a psychologist
in her role as one of the agency’s postdoctoral fellows. Tameka enjoys
working with children and their families and has a special interest in
survivors of trauma and violence. As one of several bilingual (Spanish)
speakers on staff, she is also interested in doing research in the near
future on the interrelations of culture, language, self-concept, and achievement.

Welby Pinney, LCSW

Welby Pinney began working with children and adolescents at The Brown
Schools, a residential treatment center in Austin. After receiving his
Masters of Science in Social Work, Welby has worked in a variety of settings,
including Dallas Child Guidance Clinic, Timberlawn Outpatient Services,
Child and Family Guidance Clinics, and Children’s Medical Center
of Dallas. Working at The Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers provides
numerous opportunities for staff to join with individuals and families
seeking support in addressing their issues of living. “This is a

Alina Ramirez-Ponce, PhD, LCSW

Alina is a bilingual (English/Spanish) family therapist who joined Salesmanship
Club in 2006. She is originally from Los Angeles and received her Bachelor’s
Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in
1989. She began her community agency work at a domestic violence shelter
in the Chicago area. She later worked as an accredited legal representative
for immigrants in the Dallas area through her job with Catholic Charities
Immigration Counseling Services. She continued her work with immigrants
for several years before returning to graduate school. She earned both
her Masters and PhD in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Prior to coming to Salesmanship Club, she worked again in the field of
domestic violence at Genesis Women’s Outreach and Shelter. Her areas
of professional interest include work with Latinos, women’s issues,
and poverty. She also enjoys teaching and has served as a Visiting Professor
on the social work faculty at Texas Woman’s University and as an
adjunct at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Ann Reese, M.S.W.

A clinician with SCYFC’s outpatient family therapy program since
1988, Ann Reese currently serves as the agency’s Director of Family
Therapy. Ann received her master’s degree in social work at the
University of Houston in 1984. Prior to joining SCYFC, Ann was with the
noted Galveston Family Institute and also worked with Children’s
Protective Services. During her career, Ann has gained extensive experience
working with families where sexual and physical abuse has occurred. She
has taught a graduate-level course in family therapy for the University
of Texas at Arlington and has served as clinical supervisor for a number
of graduate students completing their practicum programs at SCYFC. Ann
co-authored “Therapeutic Loving: Opening Space for Children and
their Families” in the Journal of Systemic Therapies and “Beyond
Family Systems – Toward Problem Systems: Some Clinical Implications”
in the Journal of Strategic and Systemic Therapies. Along with her associates
Rudy Buckman and Delane Kinney, she co-authored a chapter on narrative
therapy in a clinical social work text.

Al especially loves working with teenagers and their families. Originally
a high school teacher, Al began his counseling career in 1989 in New York
City, where he enjoyed working with families of diverse cultural backgrounds.
A perpetually curious explorer himself, Al sees counseling as an arena
for discovering new ways of experiencing ourselves and of communicating
with each other. Al joined SCYFC in 2005.

Before joining the SCYFC staff in 1998, Michael served as a staff therapist
with Catholic Counseling Services. From 1998 until the program ended in
2004, Michael worked with adolescents and their families as the bilingual
clinical staff member of the Salesmanship Club Youth Camp Family Therapy
Team. Now a senior clinical member of the outpatient family therapy staff,
he continues to work with clients in all seasons of life, while bringing
both compassion and a warm sense of humor to all of his sessions. In addition
to his work with clients, Michael is a Parent Educator for the agency
(Parenting with Love & Logic®, Parenting with Love & Limits®),
participates in the training and supervision of new therapists, and passionately
strives to unite disparate communities.

Leticia brings over 15 years experience working with children, adolescents
and adults in a variety of settings. For the past 10 years she had a clinical
private practice in Lewisville, TX where she provided individual, couple
and family therapy. In addition, Leticia had several contracts with local
businesses to provide counseling and organizational consultation. Her
ongoing interests include therapy, training, supervision and organizational
consultation.

Formerly a teacher and tax auditor,
Judy joined the SCYFC staff as a family therapist for the Salesmanship
Club Youth Camp in 1992. She completed her doctoral dissertation while
working for SCYFC and began supervising therapists in 1996. Now an outpatient
clinician, she continues to work with individuals and families, conduct
training, and supervise practicum students. She conducts parenting education
using the Love and Logic curriculum and is certified to teach Savannah
Family Institute's "Parenting with Love and Limits." Her continuing
clinical focus is on the theory and application of solution-focused therapy.

Laura Vogel, PhD

Laura is a licensed psychologist
who completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of
North Texas in 1998 and became licensed as a psychologist in the state
of Texas in 1999. Prior to joining the Salesmanship Club Family Therapy
Staff in 2007, Laura worked primarily in medical settings. She first began
this work at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children where she provided
services to children and families impacted by orthopedic and neurological
disorders. From there, she joined a multidisciplinary team at Our Children’s
House at Baylor treating children with early feeding disorders. Although
Laura enjoys working with children and families at varying developmental
stages, she is particularly interested in working together with caregivers
to meet the needs of young children; children impacted by an autism spectrum
disorder; and children with medical diagnoses. She recognizes the impact
of these challenges on the entire family and hopes to create an atmosphere
which allows everyone’s voice to be heard.
