Cecilia Juárez-Lazcano, M.S.

Cecilia joined SCYFC in September 2007 and serves as team leader in the
Infant-Child Comprehensive Assessment Program. Her special interest is
children from birth to six and their families. She came to America in
2004 on a scholarship from the Mexican government to pursue a Masters
degree in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders at The University
of Texas Dallas. Her previous professional experience includes teaching,
summer camp coordination and training. She has more than eight years experience
working with young children and families.

María Sánchez, LMSW
Social Worker, Infant/Child Comprehensive Assessment Program

María A. Sánchez is a bilingual Licensed Master Social
Worker in the Infant-Child Comprehensive Assessment Program at Salesmanship
Club Family Works Center. Sánchez completed her masters degree
at The University of Texas at Arlington in 2005 and became licensed in
the State of Texas in 2006. Sánchez has been with Salesmanship
Club Youth and Family Centers since 1996 in different capacities. She
worked as an intake coordinator, worked in Social Services to help families
access needed resources and services and now works with infants and children
from birth to six doing assessments in the home. Maria’s professional
interests include cultural diversity and issues involving the Spanish
speaking community.

Brooke Soard, MEd
Educational Specialist, Infant/Child Comprehensive Assessment Program

Brooke Gasper currently serves as the Educational Specialist in ICCAP.
She has her Master’s of Education in Special Education from the
University of North Texas with specialties in Children and Adolescents
with Emotional/Behavioral Disorders and Educational Diagnostics. Gasper
has worked as both a general and special education teacher in public and
private schools in the DFW area. Most recently, she served as an educational
consultant and teacher in the psychiatric unit at Children’s Medical
Center Dallas. Her areas of interest include assessments of infants and
children from birth to school age and working with at-risk youth with
emotional needs. The most rewarding part of Gasper's job is working with
children and their families and serving as an advocate for the child.

Laura Vogel, PhD
Licensed Psychologist

Laura is a licensed psychologist
who completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of
North Texas in 1998 and became licensed as a psychologist in the state
of Texas in 1999. Prior to joining the Salesmanship Club Family Therapy
Staff in 2007, Laura worked primarily in medical settings. She first began
this work at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children where she provided
services to children and families impacted by orthopedic and neurological
disorders. From there, she joined a multidisciplinary team at Our Children’s
House at Baylor treating children with early feeding disorders. Although
Laura enjoys working with children and families at varying developmental
stages, she is particularly interested in working together with caregivers
to meet the needs of young children; children impacted by an autism spectrum
disorder; and children with medical diagnoses. She recognizes the impact
of these challenges on the entire family and hopes to create an atmosphere
which allows everyone’s voice to be heard.

Jeri Warren, PhD, LSSP
Licensed Psychologist, Infant/Child Comprehensive Assessment Program

Warren is a licensed psychologist and licensed specialist in school psychology.
She completed her Ph.D. in school psychology at the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002 and became licensed as a psychologist
in the state of Texas in 2003. Prior to joining the Salesmanship Club
Family Works Center in 2006, she practiced in several local school districts.
Jeri’s professional interests include early identification and intervention
and cultural diversity issues in mental health.
